The chemistry department's helium recovery system at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX has high-pressure storage located in the basement of the '72 wing of the department.
The compressor in the high-pressure storage area pulls the gas from the gas bag on the top floor through 2" DEF tubing and fills twelve gas cylinders. The gas is then regulated to 30 psi and sent back up to the recovery room via ½" copper piping.
