Department of Chemistry

Heat Exchangers

The chemistry department's helium recovery system at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX makes its way through much of the '72 wing of the department. The helium gas collected during a fill though is extremely cold, and condensation on the tubing could become a real issue. To mitigate this, heat exchangers were put inline immediately after the magnets to raise the fill exhaust to room temperature.
